jgershJoe is founder and Executive Chairman of Gersh Investment Partners Limited. Joe is an adviser to, and director of, a range public and private companies in Australia. He is Chairman of the Australian Reinsurance Pool Corporation (the Australian Government’s commercial property terrorism risk reinsurer), Artbank (the Federal Government’s art rental scheme which supports emerging Australian artists) and the National Institute of Circus Arts (Australia’s centre of excellence in contemporary circus training), as well as Deputy Chairman of the Australia Council for the Arts,. He is also a director of the Reserve Bank of Australia’s Payments System Board and The Sydney Institute and was previously a director of the Federal Airports Corporation. Joe has held a number of senior leadership positions in the Australian Jewish community.

Prior to founding GIPL, Joe was a senior partner and Chairman of the Management Committee of well-known Melbourne law firm, Arnold Bloch Leibler. During his 20 year association with ABL, Joe acted for some of the most prominent members of the Melbourne business community. One of his principal areas of expertise is major property development projects and, in particular, the construction of hotels, shopping centres and office towers.
